Alexandria Museum

Alexandria Museum
The building was previously owned by Mrs. Peebles and was formerly the residence of the late Dr. & Mrs. Laycock.

The Alexandria Museum is located in the historic pre-1860 Laycock House, at 23 West Main Street (US 37) in the center of the Village of Alexandria, Licking County, Ohio. The collections were founded over 30 years ago by local citizens active in the Alexandria Community Council, the oldest continuously operated community council in Ohio, in an effort to preserve local artifacts and provide a center for community history. The Museum is open regularly on Sundays from 2 PM to 4 PM and by appointment. Admission is free, though donations are greatly appreciated.

In April, the Alexandria Museum celebrates Quilt Month, and is open expanded hours: 3 PM - 5:30 PM Fridays, and noon to 4 PM on Saturdays and Sundays.  In addition to having quilts and quilt-related items on display, there are two activities each week, some for adults and some for children.
