The Licking County Historical Society

Webb House Museum

Built in 1907, the Webb House Museum offers a look at the gracious era of the early 20th century.  Frank Camden Webb and his bride, Shirley Parke Pitser, filled their new home with beloved antiques, family heirlooms, oriental and American art.

Widowed in 1942, Mrs. Webb continued to live in her home a total of nearly 70 years.  For many of those years her only sister, Ethel Mosteller, lived with her.  Upon her death in 1976, Mrs. Webb left her home to the LCHS to be used as a museum.  It is maintained by a perpetual trust from the Webb family.

The Webb house museum maintains the look of a private residence with all the rooms open to the public.  The main floor features beautiful natural wood paneling, trim and floors.  the large perennial gardens have been restored and there is a carriage house on the grounds.
